Selling jewelry: what to know.
Costume jewelry surprises people. Signed vintage names and big rhinestone sets have real collector followings, and they sell great in live shows where people can see them sparkle on camera.
Don't untangle everything or throw out the "junk." Send the whole box as is. We sort it, pull the fine pieces, and price the rest by the lot.
Fine jewelry with stones, like diamonds and gemstones, gets evaluated piece by piece, not tossed on a scale. Vintage designer marks on the back of a brooch or clasp can change everything, so we look closely at every piece before putting a number on the box.
